Flex periods build time into the school day for intervention and enrichment. Securly Flex handles it in six steps.
- Set up the period. Pick the days, times, and sign-up cutoff.
- Schedule activities. Teachers add sessions with a room, capacity, and priority.
- Place students who need support. Required sessions outrank student choice.
- Let students choose. They sign up on web or mobile before the cutoff.

It weighs student choices, teacher priorities, roster memberships, at-risk designations, seat limits, shared room capacity, and student separation rules, then assigns everyone a seat. Manual registrations are never overwritten, and admins can run Autoassign on demand or reshuffle automated placements at any time.

The same 30 minutes covers both ends of your roster. A student retaking Biology is in a small group with the teacher who drafted them. A student who already passed is in a dual credit block, a second science elective, a robotics build, or a college essay workshop. Flex time stops being catch-up time and starts preparing every student for college and career.
Students browse open sessions and choose how to spend their flex time. Teachers and admins set what's available, who's eligible, and which placements can't be traded away. Choice builds engagement. Priority protects support.
